The Biosphere Pavilion project aims to create a series of small, modular shelters which act in tangent to monitor and regenerate the health of local ecosystems. It is important to analyse the differences in micro-climatic conditions in order to create sustainable farming and living practices within the Noosa Hinterland region. The project responds to the following objectives of the Noosa Biosphere foundation in collaboration with a number of environmental advocacy groups and research institutes. The following statement describes the genesis of the pavilions mission:

Measure what you care about; care about what you measure

The Biosphere Pavilion aims to foster a system which works on scales which are Microbial, Human, Local, Regional and Global. The project utilizes research into renewable energy systems by Queensland University of Technology Institute of Future Environments to make the system self sufficient and off grid. As each node is moved to a new location, collaborators gain a wider breadth of data to analyse, and a new ecosystem to manage and rehabilitate.

Together, we can realize a harmony between humanity, technology and environment to create sustainable futures.
